Characteristic Symptoms:
 
White to yellow stripes and other leaf variegation are usually observed on affected plants.
   
This abnormality is due the spontaneous genetic mutation that occurs naturally in corn plants.
   
Conditions for Disease Development:
 
Corn plants with these genetic abnormalities are seen only in corn-breeding nurseries.
   
Management and Control:
 

Use the best quality of seeds available.
