Nematode (Helicotylenchus sp.)

Characteristic Symptoms:
 
Stunting of plants is commonly observed.
   
Conditions for Disease Development:
 
It is especially common in heavier soils and less so in sandy soils.
   
Management and Control:
 
Avoid mechanical injury and maintain balanced fertility.
   
Use resistant varieties, if available.
   
Crop rotate with non-host.
